I got up at 3:45am this morning (After around 2.5 hrs of sleep) to drive Heather to the Melbourne airport. After dropping her off at the departure lounge I proceeded to try and park the car but missed the car park turnoff and ended up back on the free way! It was dark and raining so I missed about 2-3 crossings where I could turn the car around... I eventually came across a turnoff and made my way back to the airport. I tried getting a park as close as possible to the departure lounge (In true George style) and in doing so had a run in with concrete pole trying to squeeze into a tiny little parking space, luckily it didn't dent the car too much (You can hardly notice...gulp!) I made into the lounge and Heather had already checked in so we made our way the terminal to say our goodbyes. I wish I could of been going with her... I managed to make it back to Ballarat and not fall asleep at the wheel (I was more bored than tired) I will be copying and folding the insides for VS#3 to

I will be putting out my next comic Velvet Soap #3 on Monday the 1st of September. I can't wait...I'm going to have to recruit some friends to help me fold it all!! For the moment my only outlet in Ballarat will be Grainery Lane but I'm hoping to expand that to one or two more store to make it more accessible for people. I will also be selling it in Polyester and distributing it through various other zine distributors. But as always you an always mail order a copy directly from me. P.S- The comic will cost $4.00 (Aud). Ignatz showing his affection for Krazy Katz
Today I will be putting out the last copy of 7 Pages before I go away next week. I’m also going to the copy shop to proof the cover for ‘velvet soap’ before it goes to print, I’m still hopeful that I can get it out this week. Also came across a great looking magazine the other day I'm going to try and get it whilst Im in canada (it's already up to issue number 3...) it's called comic art magazine .
After running into fellow cartoonist pierre at school, I told him I wouldn't have time to put out my next comic before going to Canada. He said "You have to do it, pull an all nighter if you have to" And I figure he's right, I have to do it...So hopefully I am. I dropped off the cover artwork to the printers todays, and they should have a proof for me by monday. If all goes well I wil be launching it on the folwing friday. Also I got a package in the mail today from copacetic comics containing my copy of 'RedBird' with a silk screened cover it's very nice. The even threw in a few freebies for me, thanks!! RedBird Brand < This is good stuff! >
it's now official I will be going to Canada in september...Which means that 7 Pages will not appear as per usual But I do plan as I said on releasing a 7 pages special edition on my return. Also I migh't be able to get my next comic out ( Velvet Soap ) until I come back "Every line we succeed in publishing today — no matter how uncertain the future to which we entrust it — is a victory wrenched from the powers of darkness." — Walter Benjamin, 11 January 1940
