I should be getting back into daily posting again by the end of the week. In the meantime there will be a few strips posted this week. Just coming down from a major stomach bug which kept me up the previous night whilst my body tried to evacuate the bug by any means necessary. Must have been one of those 12 hours things as I only have a sore chest from heaving today. I do not think I have ever been that violently ill since I was a kid. Just glad it is over now. (I found the above image whilst doing a google image search it struck me as perfect comic art, and I felt I had to share it with you) by a James Swinnerton, will have to look him up.
I did some sketching yesterday afternoon whilst out for a coffee. This is something that I have neglected doing for ages and it takes a few drawings to get back into the swing of it. I'm not aiming for great drawings here but rather just jotting down peoples poses and clothing. It is not easy as you sometimes only have around 5 seconds to get the details down as someone passes by.
I've been trying to track down an old casio digital piano from the 80's for Elliott to play on. I know you can get them on ebay but I'd like to find one a a garage sale for a few dollars. This is a little bonus post, I was trying out a new technique and wanted to see how it looked and felt to draw. Can you guess what it was?
After much deliberation, Heather and I feel like we may have come to a decision. It was not and easy decision nor is it a clear cut one. We just had to take all the facts and try to sort it all out according to what our future goals are. It has been a crazy couple of weeks and it is only going to get even crazier over the next few weeks. I cannot say anymore than this due to respect for privacy of the family members involved. I will hopefully restart posting daily here, but for now I have to wait. It will be perhaps in a week or two.
