I’ve had this idea for an erasable ink pen for a couple of years now. It looks like a yellow wooden pencil and even has a pink plastic/rubber piece on the end for erasing. It has all the benefits of a pencil with no need to sharpen or smudging.
I finally decided to draw it up in the hopes it might will it into existence.

I wrote this a few months ago in a notebook to help work out my own thought processes at the time. I later had it saved as a draft blog. I almost deleted it as I think I have absorbed most of this to be part of my natural process by now. Instead, I thought I'd published it here to better reflect on.
Lately, I've been experimenting with making comics quickly to share on Instagram. And when I find myself doing something on repeat, I like having ready-made templates to remove some of the friction of getting started when you have all the right layers and guides already set up.
I was surprised this year that I didn't see Instagram top 9 pop up as a trend. I think it may have been due to the art vs artist version pop-up. One of my favourite podcasts out there (besides Seth Godins Akimbo ) is Andy J. Pizza's Creative Pep talk . Each Wednesday, he puts out an episode that is pure inspiration and fuel for creative ideas. If you're someone that is looking for some inspiration, or a little push to get out of a creative rut, go and listen to this show, and you won't look back.
For those of you following along at home. I've had a renewed passion for blogging. Today I would like to send a thank-you out to a lucky reader. I’m going to choose a person from my awcomix newsletter to receive a postcard from me with original art!
